We're seeking a dynamic Director of Training & Organizational Learning to lead the design and execution of a visionary learning strategy that empowers staff, strengthens performance, and advances our mission to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
As a key member of our People & Culture team, you will champion a culture of continuous learning and professional development across all departments. The Director of Training & Organizational Learning oversees enterprise-wide training operations, collaborates with leadership and staff at all levels, and drives innovation in learning that is equitable, trauma-informed, and rooted in community voice.

- Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite/2 days remote
- Pay Rate: $118,695. / Annually (based on education & experience)

What You'll Do:
Strategic Vision and Leadership
- Lead the development of a learning and development strategy aligned with Project HOME's mission and goals.
- Define a learning philosophy that fosters professional growth and operational excellence.
- Advise senior leadership to ensure learning initiatives meet current and future needs.
Organizational Learning Culture
- Collaborate with the SVP of People and Culture to build a comprehensive, position-specific training framework.
- Embed learning into daily operations and leadership practices.
- Partner across departments and with residents to reflect community needs.
Training Design, Delivery & Evaluation
- Oversee the design and implementation of learning programs using diverse modalities.
- Apply adult learning principles to increase engagement and retention.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using data and feedback for continuous improvement.
Instructional Design and Curriculum Development
- Lead instructional design for high-impact training initiatives.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to develop quality content.
- Ensure consistency in training materials and delivery.
Learning Management System (LMS) Expertise
- Serve as the organization's go-to expert on Learning Management Systems (currently Class LMS), with deep working knowledge of platform functionality, administration, and learner experience.
- Manage day-to-day LMS operations, including system configuration, content management, user setup, reporting, and technical troubleshooting.
- Ensure the LMS is fully aligned with organizational training goals-supporting onboarding, compliance, professional development, and leadership pathways.
- Continuously evaluate system performance and emerging needs; identify opportunities to enhance or evolve LMS capabilities to meet future learning and scalability goals.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to implement system integrations, upgrades, and improvements, ensuring a seamless, intuitive experience for learners and administrators alike.
Orientation and Onboarding
- Oversee onboarding training in alignment with organizational values and performance expectations.
Data-Driven Learning
- Implement systems to measure learning outcomes and training ROI.
- Use data dashboards to monitor progress and impact.
Operational Leadership
- Lead departmental operations, policies, and budgeting.
- Maintain an organization-wide training grid for tracking and compliance.
Team Supervision and Development
- Supervise and mentor the Training Lead.
- Foster a team culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Communication and Change Management
- Communicate training priorities and progress consistently.
- Promote engagement and transparency in learning efforts.
Community and Mission Alignment
- Ensure training reflects Project HOME's mission and values.
- Build strong connections with staff and residents to inform training strategy.

You Are:
- A strategic and mission-aligned learning leader with expertise in adult learning, instructional design, and organizational development.
- Passionate about equity and inclusion, with a proven ability to create impactful, community-informed training programs.
- Data-driven and tech-savvy, skilled in using analytics and learning technologies to drive performance and measure impact.
- A collaborative change agent and mentor who builds trust, leads cross-functional initiatives, and fosters a culture of growth.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in organizational learning and development, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. (REQUIRED)
- Proven expertise in Learning Management Systems ( LMS), with the ability to manage, optimize, and evolve platforms to support long-term learning strategy. (REQUIRED)
- Demonstrated proficiency in instructional design, curriculum development, adult learning theory, and digital learning technologies.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to measure training effectiveness and communicate learning outcomes.
- Experience building and leading comprehensive, organization-wide learning programs.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience leading learning and development in corporate, nonprofit, or human services environments.
- Expertise in instructional design, adult learning, and learning technologies.
- Proven ability to lead change, manage projects, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with equity-centered and trauma-informed training practices.
