Position Overview: The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Supportive Housing Operations plays a crucial role in providing strategic leadership to ensure that Project HOME's housing programs align with our mission and values. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team this individual will lead the development, management, and growth of our residential services while promoting operational excellence, long-term sustainability, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of strategic goals to enhance service delivery, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.
  • Drive innovation in program development and service restructuring, adapting to the evolving needs of residents.
  • Ensure high-quality property management and residential services while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee fiscal planning, maximizing the use of public and private funds to create financially sustainable programs.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout all operations and leadership development efforts.
  • Collaborate with real estate and asset management teams on new developments and the transition from construction to operations.
  • Attend Board Meetings and provide support as needed.
  • Advocate for legislative and funding opportunities to address homelessness and expand affordable housing initiatives.

What Qualifications and Experience You Bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in affordable housing, with expertise in government-subsidized housing programs.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and partnering with diverse stakeholders, including public officials, community partners, and organizations.
  • Expertise in financial oversight and budget management, particularly with government grants, funding sources, and complex operations.
  • Expert-level proficiency with integrated databases (e.g., Yardi, ETO, Financial Edge) and Microsoft Office, as well as data analytics tools.
  • A deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for empowering vulnerable and marginalized populations.
  • Experience managing permanent supportive housing, especially for populations such as those experiencing homelessness or special needs.
  • A strategic mindset with a data-driven and results-oriented approach to program evaluation, innovation, and risk management.
  • Experience overseeing large-scale real estate development projects from financing through construction to lease-up and operations.
  • Experience engaging in advocacy efforts, influencing housing policies, and collaborating with local, state, or national governments on legislative issues.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to move to or remain sedentary for periods of time in various locations

Location: 1415 Fairmount Ave. Philadelphia, PA, with regular visits to all operating locations

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite/2 days remote

Salary Range: $172,169-$181,511 based on education and experience
