High School Program Coordinator

Pay Rate: $50,756

Job Summary: The High School Program and Internship Coordinator reports to the Teen and College Access Program Manager and ensures the likelihood of post-secondary success for students enrolled in the Project HOME Teen and College Access Program. To ensure success, the Coordinator leads weekly seminars; hosts Parent Engagement Nights; plans and facilitates college and trade school tours; organizes and oversees summer internships for students; provides support with academics and standardized test preparation; and plans and hosts an annual College and Trade Fair that is open to our students and all community members.

What You Will Do

  • Leads weekly seminars for students in 10th, 11th and 12th grade that help students identify and obtain post-secondary goals, including college and trade program's.

  • Hosts Parent Engagement Nights multiple times a year to provide parents/guardians and community members with essential information about post-secondary pathways.

  • Organizes and oversees school year and summer internships for students. Places students at sites across Project HOME and partner organizations, communicates regularly with partners to ensure student success, and runs weekly professional development workshops.

  • Provides support with academics and standardized test preparation.

  • Plans and hosts annual College and Trade Fair that is open to our students and community members.

  • Accurately tracks and reports program data to Teen and College Access Program Manager.

  • Completes professional development as determined by grant funders, internal requirements, and Manager assignments

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two (2) years working with high school students in a role that supported post-secondary success. Childcare validation required

  • Teaching and lesson planning experience

  • FBI, Criminal History, Child Abuse and National Sex Offender Registry clearance required

  • Health Assessment with negative TB test required

  • PA Driver's license with clean driving record

  • Knowledge of college application and financial processes (i.e. Common Application, FAFSA). 

  • Experience tracking and organizing data 

  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Success in building and maintaining community partnerships

  • Experience working within and uplifting communities that are directly affected by systemic racism

Physical Requirements:

Ability to remain sedentary for periods of time in various locations. Ability to stand for prolonged periods. Ability to move around a classroom.
