Referral Specilalist

As a Referral Specialist, you'll help patients navigate the healthcare system by coordinating referrals, connecting them with specialty care, and ensuring they receive the services they need without unnecessary barriers.

Location: Stephen Klein Wellness Center, 2144 Cecil B. Moore Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19121
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-4:30 PM
Compensation: $21.65/hour

What You'll Do

  • Manage referrals from provider order through completion of specialty care.
  • Schedule referral appointments and provide follow-up instructions.
  • Assist uninsured patients with insurance applications and financial assistance.
  • Track hospital admissions and support continuity of care.
  • Provide front desk coverage and schedule appointments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with care teams.

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience using an EHR, Practice Management System, or EDR.
  • Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

What You May Bring

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • Experience in an FQHC or community health center.
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania COMPASS.
  • Experience serving vulnerable populations.
