As a Residential Services Coordinator II, you'll provide direct support to residents within supportive housing programs serving individuals experiencing homelessness, behavioral health challenges, and other barriers to stability.

This role combines case management, resource coordination, crisis intervention, community engagement, housing support, and recovery planning. You'll work closely with residents to help them achieve housing stability, wellness, employment, recovery, and long-term self-sufficiency.

• Schedule: Full-Time | Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM, On-Call Responsibilities Required
• Compensation: $23.09 per hour

What You'll Do

Support Resident Recovery & Wellness

• Build trusting relationships with residents and support their transition from homelessness to stable housing.
• Collaborate with residents to identify strengths, needs, and goals.
• Develop individualized recovery plans with both short-term and long-term objectives.
• Respond to crisis situations using appropriate intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Foster a culture of recovery, wellness, dignity, and peer support.

Coordinate Resources & Services

• Connect residents to housing, employment, income, education, benefits, healthcare, and behavioral health resources.
• Assist residents with accessing community supports that promote independence and stability.
• Advocate on behalf of residents and help remove barriers to success.
• Support residents in obtaining documentation and navigating service systems.

Promote Housing Stability

• Assist residents in maintaining lease and program obligations.
• Support housing applications, voucher submissions, transfers, and permanent supportive housing opportunities.
• Help residents gather required documentation for housing placements.
• Collaborate on discharge planning and transitions to more independent living environments.

Facilitate Community Engagement

• Plan and facilitate groups, activities, and community-building opportunities.
• Encourage resident participation and positive peer relationships.
• Help residents build recovery capital and strengthen community connections.
• Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and LGBTQ+-affirming environment.

Documentation & Program Support

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including case notes, assessments, and goal plans.
• Utilize electronic case management systems to document resident services.
• Attend team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Serve as the site point person in the absence of the Program Manager or Assistant Program Manager.

On-Call Responsibilities

• Participate in an on-call rotation with other team members.
• Respond to emergencies and urgent resident concerns via phone or onsite support when needed.

What You'll Need

Education & Experience

One of the following is required:

• High School Diploma or GED with four (4) years of related experience; or
• Associate's Degree with two (2) years of related experience; or
• Bachelor's Degree

In addition, candidates must have:

• Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness and/or behavioral health challenges.
• Experience in case management, residential services, recovery support, or human services.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn electronic case management systems.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with residents.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Crisis intervention and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in supportive housing or residential programs.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practices.
• Experience facilitating groups and community-building activities.
• Experience assisting individuals with housing applications and benefits.
• Experience working in LGBTQ+-affirming environments.
• Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) or other behavioral health certifications.
• Familiarity with Philadelphia housing and behavioral health resources.
