Director of Human Resources

Annual Salary Range: $115,800- 121,568 based on education and experience

The Director of Human Resources will lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR department for Project HOME ensuring effective recruitment, employee engagement, professional development, performance management, and compliance with HR policies and employment laws. This position supports the organization's mission by fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture and ensuring HR strategies align with organizational objectives.

What You Will Do To Contribute To Our Mission:

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Oversee HR operations and align HR functions with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support HR staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery and professional growth.
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Direct recruitment and onboarding processes to attract mission-driven professionals and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Employee Engagement and Development: Develop strategies to enhance engagement, retention, and professional growth through effective training and development initiatives.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Manage competitive and compliant compensation and benefits programs, optimizing processes to meet organizational and employee needs.
  • Policy and Employee Relations: Establish and enforce HR policies, resolving employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance management processes, aligning individual contributions with organizational objectives and supporting succession planning.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure HR compliance with current laws and trends while maintaining accurate reporting systems and regulatory adherence.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field, or the degree equivalent which requires a minimum of 4 years of mid-level/senior HR experience. 
  • At least 7 years of experience in human resources, with expertise in compensation, benefits, employee relations, recruiting, and policy development.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing or supervising HR teams
  • Experience leading HR initiatives that incorporate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) to foster inclusive organizational cultures.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and implementing large-scale organizational changes or HR technology systems to improve operations.
  • A track record of advising senior leadership on strategic HR planning and organizational development.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and administering compensation and benefits programs that align with organizational goals and market standards.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality, fostering positive outcomes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation.
