Sr. Manager of Training and Organizational Learning

Job Summary: The Senior Manager of Organizational Learning and Training will show a strong commitment to an organizational learning culture and understand the importance of this to the success of Project HOME's mission. This position will show demonstrated experience building training strategies and in organizational change.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organizational learning culture: With the SVP of People and Culture develop a robust organizational and department level and position -by -position training plan that meets all organizational training requirements. Provide key leadership to the continuous development of an organizational learning culture by providing programmatic leadership to the training program, strategic leadership within the Training department, and strong relationship connection with other Project HOME departments and residents.
  • Training leadership: Lead and/or identify resources for the design of organizational-wide, department-specific, and position-specific training curriculum design and development using a wide variety of learning theories, modalities, and delivery options. Establish, evaluate, update, and maintain best practices in training, learning and development and adult learning.
    Organizational priorities and collaboration: Use training to promote, meet, and connect organizational goals and priorities. Identify organizational training requirements, priorities, goals, and objectives by collaborating with all departments at the organization; solicit feedback from all areas and levels of the organization about training needs and satisfaction. Ensure organization, transparency, accountability, and communication about our work.
  • Instructional design: Serve as in-house instructional design expert; develop training plans and lead creation of those trainings as needed, including serving as a subject-matter expert and working with subject-matter experts.
  • Learning Management System Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the LMS, ensuring system integrity, performance, and functionality, in addition to content management, user management, and ensure System Integration by working with IT and other departments to integrate the LMS with other systems and tools used within the organization.
    Data Assessment: Develop knowledge checks and other metrics and evaluations to measure shifts in perspectives, values, and behaviors in response to training. Track effectiveness of training program in helping learners develop proficiencies and skills needed perform at the highest level and experience satisfaction in their roles. Generate and analyze reports on user engagement, course completion rates, and other key metrics.
  • Orientation: In collaboration with Human Resources, develop, oversee, maintain orientation and execute training portions of new orientation.
  • Facilitation: Create and provide training directly to learners using several modalities, including live virtual training, classroom training, and e-Learning.
  • Operations, resourcing, and budgeting: Lead and develop departmental operations and policies and procedures, including feedback loops to supervisors, train-the-trainer plan, training requests and developing forms. Develop, and monitor, training across the organization through the creation of an organization- wide training grid to capture departmental and positional training requirements and assess completion rates. Build out department budget and monitor costs.
  • Community building: Ensure all training connects and lives into our mission and values and promotes community building for staff, residents, and participants consistent with our mission and values. Build strong relationships with staff and residents throughout the organization to better understand and evaluate training needs.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise the Training Specialist, who works to ensure smooth training operations. Ensure individual and departmental goals are achieved. Provide training to the Training Specialist for new software, tools, and processes.
  • Communication: Provide strong and consistent communication about the organizational Training Program and ensure that the organization's commitment to learning and development is clearly disseminated.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 5 years' experience in Organizational Learning and Training
  • 3 Years of Supervisory experience
  • Experience in developing and delivering an organization-wide training program, including instructional design, curriculum development, learning theory, learning management systems, content development and delivery, workshop facilitation, and organizational learning and performance initiatives.
  • Strong experience managing or building a framework to measure learning outcomes and effectiveness for a variety of scenarios - ability to understand, analyze, and communicate learning data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
