Director of Information Technology

Minimum Starting Salary: $118,695

Job Summary: As the Director of Information Technology, you will lead the strategy and management of Project HOME's IT and telecommunications systems in support of the organization's mission and operations. You'll partner with leadership and departments to improve systems, drive efficiency, and support growth, while overseeing infrastructure, security, vendors, and budgets. This role also leads and develops the IT team, ensuring technology across the organization is reliable, secure, and built to scale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Participate as an integral member of Project HOME's Senior Management Team by providing leadership and technological innovation in support of the organization's operations, mission, goals, and future growth

  • Work with Project HOME departments to analyze how IT can better support or improve Project HOME's short- and long-term goals

  • Establish and direct short and long-term technology needs, projects, hardware and software acquisitions

  • Supervise the Information Technology staff

  • Manage IT procurement processes 

  • Negotiate, review, and manage IT contracts 

  • Develop and manage IT annual budgets (operating & capital)

  • Develop and manage IT related organization-wide expenses (telephone usage, printer related supplies, etc.)

  • Operate all IT budgets within approved limits

  • Establish and direct the system-wide policies, procedures, and documentation governing IT technology investment

  • Manage IT vendor and consultant selection and on-going relationships

  • Develop and manage IT Security and Disaster Recovery Plans

  • Supervise IT equipment asset management and tracking

  • Support the design and implementation for IT needs of all new Capital projects

  • Oversee the management of the Information Technology environment

  • Oversee the management of the Telecommunications environment

  • Evaluate and provide educational opportunities for employees to gain competence as users

  • Facilitate the IT portion of the organization's annual audits by outside consultants.  Direct the resolution of any weaknesses and recommendations identified in the audit.

  • Complete performance evaluations for all direct reports and recommend salary adjustments annually

  • Identify needs and promote the professional development and growth of staff.

  • Provide guidance and supervision to direct reports.

  • Work with VP of Information Technology, Business/Financial Analyst and Healthcare Business Analyst to develop annual and long-term goals and objectives

Education and Experience Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology related field or Business Administration required OR equivalent certification and/or work experience

  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in related Information Technology and Telecommunications fields

  • 5 years management & administrative experience

  • 5 years' experience developing & managing budgets

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Maintain a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in social service or other not-for-profit organizations

  • Master's Degree in Technology related field or Business Administration

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
