Vice President- Supportive Housing (FT)

Job Summary: Under the supervision and strategic guidance of the Senior Vice President of Residential Services and Property Operations (SVP), the primary responsibility of the Vice President for Property Operations and Residential Services is to provide mission-focused leadership steeped in the values of diversity, equity and inclusion to achieve and maintain excellence in all residential and property management services. This position will integrate the department's initiatives and services within the organization's strategic plan and will be responsible for managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. The Vice President is a member of the Senior Management Leadership Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and achieve annual goals in support of the mission and aligned with the agency-wide strategic plan, while ensuring the successful management of our daily service delivery and operations.
  • Design and deliver quality, measurable residential services and programming while incorporating mission focused and person-centered best practices.
  • Successfully support the Directors to achieve key performance indicators and maintain compliance especially related to housing retention, unit vacancy, health care, employment, and housekeeping.
  • Provide guidance to the Directors in leadership, management, staff support and retention.
  • Manage and evaluate the overall operational and financial results for the portfolio, identify potential challenges that threaten portfolio performance, and present recommendations, plans, and strategies for enhancing value and improving financial returns.
  • Engage in periodic program assessment to identify process gaps and create trainings or program improvements to ensure continued innovations and enhancements. 
  • Be a champion of Project HOME's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
  • Collaborate with Real Estate and Asset Management department on the design of new properties, the renovation of existing properties, capital improvements and maintenance.
  • Develop and foster relationships with government and non-government organizations addressing program and funding issues associated with operations.
  • Foster a work environment that encourages creative thinking, psychological safety, and the ability to maintain focus, intensity, and persistence, even under adversity.
  • Special projects and other duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Minimum Experience:

  •  A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in affordable property management, supportive services, or related field with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Experience working with programs with mixed finance sources such as LIHTC, Project Based, Continuum of Care, HUD, or Department of Behavioral Health 
  • Strong analytic and management skills with specific experience providing oversight to multiple teams
  • Experience with the development & oversight of complex budgets
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals that are culturally and professionally diverse.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. 

Preferred Experience:

  • Extensive experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders. 
  • Experience with integrated databases, proficient in use of Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly learn new platforms
  • Experience working with an organization providing permanent supportive housing

  • Exceptional organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines effectively. Able to prioritize tasks well.
